Event: Safety Fair
When: 5:30 p.m.
Off duty Monarch Firefighter/ paramedics will be giving a safety talk and demonstration to any children (grades first through Fifth) and their parents. Talks will cover Exit Drills In The Home (EDITH), fire safety, self extinguishment, calling 911, and firefighter gear.
Free helmets, coloring books, and jelly bracelets will be given away. This is a great opportunity to bond with your child while teaching them invaluable information.

Monarch Firefighters Help Out the Delta Gamma Center for the Visually Impaired
On Wednesday last week Captain Bob Temm organized a group of Monarch firefighters to help unload over 1000 Christmas trees at the "Shining Light" Christmas tree lot in Rock Hill. This is the 55th annual tree lot established by the Delta Gamma Center as a fund raising event.
The mission of the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments is to provide assistance to children who are blind or visually impaired to reach their full potential through individualized education and therapy services for infants (birth to three years) and their parents and through support services for children of all ages, their families and the community.

Monarch firefighter/paramedics assist shoppers to and from their vehicles to benefit Wings of Hope.
Trough the volunteer efforts of our members, the golf cart shuttle and boot collection raised $2300 for Wings of Hope. One hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to Wings of Hope.
This could not have been a success without the generosity of the community. "Thank you" to everyone who supported this worthwhile charity.
